Arya and Sayyeshaa to be Married Soon

The film stars Arya and Sayyeshaa who acted together in the film Ghajinikanth are to be joined together in marriage.

Since their acting together in the Ghajinikanth, there was a rumor on the actors dating together. Now the rumor seems to be true since the parents of both met together to plan their wedding.

The wedding is fixed to be held in Hyderabad on March 9 and 10. It is to be followed by a grand reception in Chennai gathering all the film industry and the celebrities.

Currently, Arya is working on three movies including Magamuni, 3 Dev and Sandana Devan.

Lt Gen Rajeev Chopra as new Director General of NCC

Lt Gen Rajeev Chopra assumed the appointment of Director General of NCC (DGNCC) today. Commissioned in the Madras Regiment in December 1980, Lt Gen Chopra is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla and Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.

Lt Gen Rajeev Chopra has commanded an infantry battalion in Operation Rhino (Assam). He has commanded a Brigade in Eastern Command and was Inspector General of HQ IGAR (South) in the insurgency-torn state of Manipur. The General Officer commanded a Corps in Eastern Theatre and has also been the Commandant of the prestigious Infantry School. He is also the Colonel of The Madras Regiment since Jun 2016.

He is a graduate of Technical Staff Officers Course, has attended the Higher Command Course at National Defence University, China and National Defence College, New Delhi. He holds a Diploma in Defence & Strategic Studies from National Defence University. He has been awarded Ati VishishtSeva Medal for his distinguished service in Jan 2018.

Global Corruption Index 2018

Transparency International headquarted at Berlin, Germany has released the global corruption index 2018.India rose by 3 points to 78 in the list of 180 countries in the world with a score of 180 countries in the world with the score of 41.China lagged far behind at 87 and Pakistan ranked 117.

The top countries on the list are Denmark and new Zealand with scores of 88 and 87. somalia, Syria and south Sudan remained at the bottom with scores of 10,13,and 13.

Salt Saltyagraha Memorial at Dandi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the National Salt Satyagraha Memorial to the nation at Dandi in Gujarat on Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary today. The memorial is a tribute to the 80 marchers who accompanied Mahatma Gandhi from Sabarmati to Dandi in 1930.

National salt satyagraha memorial constructed by the central public works department (CPWD) by the ministry of culture, government of India has been completed in 20 month’s time well within the sanctioned amount of Rs.72.23 crores.

Martyr’s Day 2019

The Martyr’s day is being celebrated in India on Wednesday, remembering the death anniversary of the ‘Father of our Nation.’

On January 30, 1948, Mahatma Gandhi who fought for the freedom of our nation was assassinated. He was one of the greatest man of the nation who taught the world ‘non violence.’

From then on, his death date is celebrated as a Martyr’s day in India. Several programmes were scheduled to honor the great man and other freedom fighters who died for our nation.

The various political leaders are paying their homage to the martyrs. Prime Minister Modi is paying a second visit to Gujarat, to inaugrate the National Salt Sathyagraha Memorial in Dandi. He also delivered his first ‘Mann ki Baat’ of 2019 on Wednesday.

JACTO GEO strike: Current State

Presently the government teaching staffs all over Tamil Nadu has been holding a strike, refusing to go to school.

The teachers have certain demands and questions for the current system of CPS and teachers allotment, for which the government has refused to give any explanation. Asking for a reply, thousands of teachers from hundreds of government and government-aided schools have refused to attend the schools.

From last Tuesday, the teachers are holding a strike outside their respective collector offices. On Friday a few teachers were arrested by the police. This action failed to threaten the teachers. On monday the teachers who joined the strike increased by 18%.

However, CM Edappadi Palaniswamy ordered on Monday for all the teachers to report on their schools before 5.00pm. The further actions planned by the JACTO GEO is yet to overrule the order of government.

Tulip garden in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand

India’s second tulip garden will come up in Uttarakhand over 50 hectares of forest land in Pithoragarh district at a cost of Rs.50 crore. The state government has obtained the permission from Centre’s for the development of the garden.

To be developed by the ONGC ,under its corporate social responsibility programme ,the proposed tulip garden will be the country’s second after the one located in Srinagar (J&K).It has been selected under the state governments 13 districts,13 new destinations scheme to attract more tourists to the district.

India won the Series Defeating New Zealand

In the 3rd one-day series conducted in New Zealand, Indian cricketers won the series with 3-0 lead.

The five ODI series is being played in New Zealand against India by the host. In today’s match New Zealanders took the batting. The bowling of Indian players proved good. The host scored about 243 runs in 49 overs.

It was followed by the batting of Indian players. Among the players, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kholi took the lead scoring more than half-centuries. They scored 62 runs and 60runs respectively.

The team won a hatrick-win conquering the series. They scored 245 runs in 43 overs. Mohammed Shami was announced the man of the match following the 3 wickets that he scored.

The 4rth and the 5th matches of the five ODI was to be conducted on Jan. 31 and Feb. 3.

AIIMS now at Madurai

PM Narendramodi laid foundation stone for AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) Medical College and hospital at Madurai, Tamilnadu and inaugurated several projects.

The new AIIMS will come up at Thoppur in Madurai. It will provide leadership in advanced healthcare, medical education and research in the region. This location will primarily benefits people residing in the Southern backward districts of Tamil Nadu.

The super speciality blocs of Rajaji Medical College, Madurai, Thanjavur Medical College and Tirunelveli Medical College, as a part of Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana, which aims to upgrade 73 medical colleges across the country.

Saina Nehwal was crowned the womens singles champion at the Istora after Carolina Marin withdrew with an              injury midway during the first game. Carolina Marin winced in pain soon after landing awkwardly on the court.            She was Dominating the match until then but was struggling to continue after the injury,Which seemingly                  affected her knee. Saina Nehwal, who was under pressure,Immediately crossed over to the other side of the net          to check on her opponent.
