North Korean President Reappears

Kim Jong Un, the president of North Korea has put an end to all the rumours that arose over his disappearance.

Kim Jong Un, who usually stirs lot of attention from the world over his every move is been completely absent from the world stage for the past three weeks. Reports said that he has undergone a cardio vascular surgery for obesity.

As no news on his health has been put forward, rumors started to spread even about him being dead. Also him not appearing the country’s very important ceremony strengthened the rumour. South Korea claimed his well-being on all those days. US Predient Trump didn’t utter much about the incident.

Putting an end to all these to an end, President Kim Jong Un made his first public appearance after 20 days. He attended an opening ceremony of a fertilizer factory near Pyongyang. He appeared to be healthy. The officials invited him cheerfully with “Hurrah”s. kim Jong Un’s sister was also present along with him in the ceremony.

COVID-19: India

The number of corona affected cases in India is on hype.

As of Tuesday India has a total number of 29,451 cases. Whereas, the death toll has increased upto 939. There are chances for the lockdown to be extended with the further increase in the affected cases. After the meeting with PM Modi, the Chief Ministers suggested that it might not be a good idea to loosen the lockdown.

In Karnataka few restrictions were lifted. Maharashtra sees increasing number of patients as days go by. Industries were allowed to operate in Uttarakhand. Health Ministry announced on Tuesday that the plasma therapy is still at the experimental level and there is still no evidence for its usage for treatment.

Kim Jong Un Suspicion

The mystery over the condition of the North Korean President’s condition hypes among the people as a senior executive of China says yes to the question.

The suspicions still continue to be the same as no official report on the president’s condition is released yet. After undergoing a surgery the condition of his health was not shared much.

His retainment from the public appearance on the contry’s two important occassions: April 15, a day honouring the founder of the country (Kim’s late grandfather Kim Il Sung) and April 25, at the 88th anniversary of Korean People’s Revolutionary Army has provoked the suspicions over his health condition.

While US remains tight-lipped yielding nothing towards the credance of the rumor, a Hong Kong Satellite TV executive told her followers on Weibo that Kim Jong Un was dead. Though her news was not that credible, it has turned a lot of attention towards North Korea.

The president’s name is been trending among the netizens with people wondering about the president’s condition.

Earth Day 2020

Tom and Jerry Director Dies at 95

Gene Deitch (full name: Eugene Murrel Deitch) who has produced most famous cartoon characters and illustrations passed away at the age of 95.

Gene Deitch, an American illustrator, animator and comic director was reported to be dead at the age of 95 according to the media. He died in his apartment in Prague said his Czech publisher.

He was one of the most famous award-winning legends in his field directing the most popular cartoon series including Tom and Jerry, Popeye, etc. Born in 1924, he has directed many famous cartoons including Popeye the Sailor Man, Tom Terrific, Munro and Nundik.

His short film Munro won the Academy Award for the Best Animated Short Film in 1960. He was also nominated twice for the same award in the year 1964. He won the Winsor McCay Award for his lifelong contribution to animation in 2004.

Gene Deitch has directed 13 episodes from the legendary cartoon series Tom and Jerry and also multiple episodes from Popeye the Sailor Man.

World Health Day 2020

The World Health Day 2020 is followed internationally on the 7th of April.

Being healthy does not goes only with physical health, but also with mental health. Health is defined as a state of complete physical, mental and social well being.

The World Health Organization declared April 7 to be celebrated as the World Health Day. The theme for the year 2020 is “to support nurses and midwives.”

Also the year 2020 was chosen by WHO to be the “Year of Nurse and Midwife.” As the whole world was shaken by the pandemic virus, those in the medical field were the ones who stand in the forefront and save people’s life. Its time for us to respect those great souls, who, leaving everything behind is standing bravely in the war for the survival of the mankind.

Vincent van Gogh’s Painting Stolen

The Dutch master Vincent van Gogh’s painting was stolen from the Dutch museum, Singer Laren.

The museum was situated just outside the city’s capital Amsterdam. The museum was closed from March 12 following the pandemic announcements. Reports says that the famous painting of van Gough, “The Parsonage Garden at Nuenen in Spring” was stolen in an overnight raid.

Though the alarms went out, the painting was gone before the officials could reach the place. All were shocked when they found only the white panel in place of the grand painting. The thieves were suspected to break the glass window to enter the museum.

The painting was painted during the year 1884 by one of the great Dutch master Vincent van Gogh. The painting depicts a woman in the garden with sparse red-flowered bushe and a church in the background.
